SERVICES

A first appointment generally lasts about 75 minutes and provides Ms. Dauphinais adequate time to:

Listen and ask questions about your dysfunctions, your general health, other medical care you may be receiving or medication you are taking, and record your responses in your case notes. The information you provide is strictly confidential.

Examine you properly and ask you to make simple movements and stretches to observe your posture and mobility. Because of the body’s structure, pain or stiffness you are experiencing in one part may be linked to a problem elsewhere.

Examine the health of your joints, tissues, fascias, bones, organs, and ligaments using her hands and a highly developed sense of touch called palpation.

CRANIAL & HEAD TRAUMAS THERAPY

Cranial therapy treats concussions, headaches, focus and concentration issues, neck tension, most head traumas, cranial neurologic pain and more. This therapeutic approach honors the relationship between the biomechanics of the dura mater and its attachments versus the biodynamics of the fluids, balance and bioenergy by directly assessing and treating the dynamics of the different parts of the brain and the vascular system. As such, cranial therapy rebalances the cranial membranes, cranial bones, and the entire cranial functional activity specifically and globally, thus enabling better physical and behavioral health of the functions dependent on these regions while also improving neuroplasticity and the disappearance of symptomatology.

VISCERAL THERAPY

Visceral organs are very important to be considered and treated during a session if they are not fully expressing mobility and vitality in your body. The relationship between structures (bones, muscles, joints, fascias, etc.) and visceral organs is important, as this relationship has an impact on the functioning of the whole body's system. For example, restricted intestines can also restrict the mobility of the lower spine.

Visceral organs express and move in a specific way in the body to be able to function at their best and offer the full potential of health. Constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, feeling bloated, dizziness, vomiting, difficulty swallowing food, low energy and can be an indication that the visceral organs need to be mobilized through manual manipulations.

OROFACIAL

Fascial bones are as important to unwind as the cranial bones. They are a part of a multidimensional complex system, and this includes the eyes, nose, ears, jaw, throat and all the senses.
The structure (fascial and cranial bones) impact the function (vision, breathing, hearing, swallowing and more). Making sure that the facial bones are free to offer full function of the senses is a priority.

Common orofacial issues are restriction of the airways, issues with the tongue resting against the pallet, sinus dysfunction, jaw pain, difficulty swallowing, ringing in the ears, vertigo and more.

WOMEN & MEN'S HEALTH

Many manual therapist are confronted in their daily practice with patients experiencing imbalances in the pelvic sphere. The reasons for a consultation may be related to disorders such as urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, infertility and more.  There may also be hormonal issues due to puberty, menstrual cycles, pregnancy, or menopause, and specific surgical or infection issues may contribute to imbalances of the pelvic organs and hormones. The intrapelvic soft tissues are permanently solicited and mobilized by the respiratory, urinary, genital, and intestinal functions; even the urogenital organs are in constant motion. The role of the practitioner is to restore the mobility of all these tissues to ensure a good physiology of the pelvic sphere.

    PRIVATE EXERCISE SESSIONS

The private exercise sessions specialize in the re-education of the body's posture and focus on the alignment of the structures, which includes the bones, muscles, joints, visceral organs and more. To create these actions within the body, one needs to learn how to solicit the deep postural muscles that will support the body on a daily basis, allowing it to move freely, safely, and pain free. As the body ages, one wants to rely on the mechanics of the body's structures to execute multiple tasks without fear. This requires good balance, flexibility, a strong core, muscle tone and more. This private class will teach clients how to execute these simple exercises, mostly prioritizing the posture.
